1.2 Ghz Athlon - overclocked to 1.35 Ghz :) oh, i like it!!!!
Asus A7V133 motherbaord w/ 256 MEGS PC133 RAM, Asus Geforce2 GTS Deluxe 32 MEG DDR video board, 2 hard drives, 12X DVD, CD-RW (TDK velo-CD), SB Live audio, and an Enermax 431 Watt power supply, (this is where people make mistakes. Dont be cheap on these power hungry AMD systems. Get a good P/S!)
I would like to add that my case modding serves both form and function. As mentioned earlier, HEAT is your worst enemy. By installing the fans in my modifications, i've lowered the case temp quite a bit. I've also taken a ThermoEngine (CPU heatsink) and the Delta 38 CFM fan and combined the two.
The result, a CPU that idles at 36 Celcius! Under full load, it tops out at 39 Celcius. (bare in mind my ambient temp is 77F) That's ALOT better than the normal temps around 45 to 57C degrees that are present without extra fans and air circulation. Not only will your computer run better, but it will last longer too...
