ASUS and ENERMAX, two GREAT combos

Asus A7V133 motherboard and Enermax 431 Watt Power Suppy

This page is about the motherboard and power supply that i used. I think these two things are where most people make mistakes. Yeah, you can buy a 70.00 motherboard and a 30.00 power supply, but it'll come back on you later...

Asus A7V133 MOTHERBOARD
There's only TWO great motherboards (if you ask me), that's either Abit or Asus. I've had both of them and they are each well worth the money.

I chose the A7V133 for the overclocking ability. I can set any and all parameters of my CPU, video card, etc. However, their instruction book is kinda tricky, so you might have to read it a couple times.

This is my second Asus board and i must say it's quite better than the first (A7V) Asus board i had last year. People like myself always want to squeeze that extra power out of our CPUs and this is one of the best boards to do it with.

ON TO THE POWER SUPPLY.........

ENERMAX 431 WATT POWER SUPPLY

You can just look at this p/s and see the quality. When i unpacked it from it's box, i felt how heavy it was and i knew it'd be different. First of all, the main harness that goes to the motherboard is wrapped in an attractive black mesh. That comes in really handy when you're concerned about your wiring inside your computer being nice and neat...

Second, is the extra fan that they've installed in the unit. That's nice. One fan sucking hot air away from my CPU then the other fan taking it out of the computer case. (the chrome grilles look snazzy too!)

Last but not least, Enermax wasnt stingy with the power connectors. There's lots of them. (i mean LOTS!) They are long enough to travel up and down my 27 inch tall case. Heck, they're even gold plated. (i think that's suppose to be a better conductor.)

I think i was more excited about my power supply than anything else. I cant remember how many computer crashes i had no thanks to cheap, under-powered power supplies. This baby runs ALL my stuff easily and quietly. (did i mention this P/S is very quiet?)
